Nadia Mahdi
first worked with Brooke and Brendan in Providence, RI, appearing as Lottie in Perishable Theatre's production of Lisa D'Amour's The Cataract. Since then, she's been thrilled to continue her relationship w/T-H-C as a "psychopathic pugelist" (Bill Walker) in Major Barbara @ La MaMa, a dead man's lover and big haired psychic (Regina/Susanna) in Panic at P.S.122, and most recently developing the roles of molesting samurai and avenging sister-in-law (Yougayman/Yura) in The Drum of the Waves of Horikawa at Perishable Theatre. Nadia has worked with Berkeley Repertory Company, Trinity Repertory Company, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Providence Black Repertory Company, Workhorse, Berkeley Contemporary Opera and the San Francisco-based theatre/opera collective Teatro Bacchino/ Other NYC appearances include Ariel/Stephano in Caliban Remembers at La MaMa, as a member of the band in South Wing's Death in a Vacant Lot at the Watermill Center/LMCC, and as an evil scientist and pregnant avatar in Meredith Drum's recent film trilogy Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the World.
